When the days start getting chilly, Michigan really starts showing off her true beauty. Fall colors in Michigan are second to none. Every year hundreds of photographers and adventurers migrate to northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula to catch the fall colors, and no one is ever disappointed. Michigan’s waterfalls, lakes, and lookouts all provide incredible looks at our trees.
In 2015, M-22 in Michigan’s northwest Lower Peninsula was named the best scenic drive in the country to catch the fall colors. The year before, the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore was named the most beautiful place in the country by ABC News, due not only to the amazing views from above the dunes, but also the gorgeous fall colors the annually show up in the area.
