The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a special place. With miles upon miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and numerous hiking trails, there’s something here for everyone. One of the biggest attractions is the famous “Dune Climb”. Thousands of people from all over the world come here to climb the 450 foot tall sand dune. Let me tell you from personal experience, it’s a lot taller than it looks.
Other great places at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore include M-22, named 2015’s most scenic drive for fall colors, Esch Road Beach, Traverse City, Fishtown, and the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.
